Trends to watch in Digital Marketing...

Holding a pen and writing notes, going in front of the TV and watching movies or a Tele dramas, sitting on a bench and reading books, all these things belong to the past now.  Surprisingly they belong to the category of traditional medium. The new generation does not have time to sit in a specific place and do all these things. Their life styles have become mobile. With that mobility and the access to the technology, the above mentioned traditional Media and sources will be disappeared from the society sooner than later.

With all these changes, the marketers have identified that the best way to touch a greater mass in a very cost effective and a expedite way is moving towards digital mediums. Every single gadget we own has gone digital and fully equipped with the newest technology in the century. As we speak, there will be numerous amounts of new technologies and upgrades to the digital mediums coming to the market and any smart marketer will be more than happy to use these digital mediums over traditional ones.
In this post I would like to talk about those new trends in Digital Marketing. As per the marketing analysts there are many trends coming in to the digital marketing but I will be talking about the most significant trends among them.

    1. Real time marketing

As we all know, in the modern society everything is very fast. Since it is based on knowledge and technology, the customers can and will be willing to get information right away. So, to survive in this kind of an environment, marketers have to be up to date and the service must be a real time one. They should pay a keen attention to how fast they can generate information when a customer contacts them. Most importantly, identifying what real time marketing means and acting upon that would be a great challenge to modern marketers.

     2. Cross screen marketing

Cross screen marketing is also a very important thing when it comes to digital marketing. Even though we speak about digital devices and technological advances, still there are a lot of customers who does not own a smart phone, who does not know how to use internet for commerce. Simply the customers may be not tech savvy. If we look in another angle, some customers are more tech savvy and they use more than one digital device.
To address their needs, the main strategy a company can use is cross screen marketing. In cross screen marketing, marketers will be using integrated campaigns handling multiple screens at a time. TVs, Desktops, Laptops or large screen near shops can be used for cross screen marketing and this will bridge a gap between the consumer and the marketer even if the consumer does not have a smart phone or a digital device.

3. Inspire fans

As a marketer, you already have a loyal consumer base that can be called as your fans. even if you are a newly established organization, with promotional activities you can create a customer base.  They will be more than happy to help you grow your market share.  So, the marketers can authorize those fans to talk good about the company using mainly digital media. Since this will be identified as earned media, more and more potential customers will actually join with the company.

4. Dominance of the mobile

Yes, as we all know, a mobile, now a days a smart phone has become a basic requirement of a human. With thousands of apps and gadgets coming in to the market to make a mobile do anything a person wants   without the help of a PC or a Laptop is an amazing transformation. Not more than two decades ago, we would not have even dreamt that a mobile can be used to take photos, browse the internet and for banking and even to secure our houses.
So, marketers have to pay a special attention to this area to enable mobile marketing for their customers. If the competitor gives this facility before you, there is a great chance that you would lose the customer to that competitor.

By considering the above trends we can clearly see that it is very important for a marketer to use a proper digital marketing strategy to compete and survive in the modern market.
